I know you must be soooo proud of your son! Pictures of him in uniform is a must!! Tell him thank you from me for serving! I know it is because of guys and girls like him that we have the freedoms that we do. And I for one, appreciate the sacrifices they give.

Thanks!!! I was in the air today when he got to call and tell me he was officially a sailor.....sounded so very, very tired. They'd been up 39 hours doing the final division test of Battle Stations on a $85 million dollar "ship" built by Universal Studios. I will finally get to see him in less than 12 hours! Then spend some liberty time with him this weekend before he goes on to Pensicola for more swim training for Aircrew Rescue Swimmer. There's gotta be a word bigger than proud....and that's me!:dance:

Debbi,
I was a rescue swimmer in the Navy as well. I know it felt GREAT to get out of boot camp. The crapy part is that Pensacola is rough too. I was stationed there for a year. I wish him (and you) all the best! Anchors aweigh!

Graduation was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's no more kleenex in the state of Illinois! LOL! My son's Division not only earned the most flags, and took the Captain's Cup competition, but they made Hall of Fame Honors with one of the highest scoring divisions ever! WooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o!
Unfortunately my sailor has watch today from 12-4PM, and has an assignment to do at 6PM tonight. Picking him up at 4 for a quick dinner and looking forward to spending all day tomorrow with him!

Those pictures are Awesome! I went to the graduation of my boyfriend when he graduated from the navy it was great. (We got engaged and then broke up when he was in Sasebo Japan, but thats neither here nor there haha)
I know you must be so proud. I'm a Marine brat myself so I am very partial to the armed forces :D
