View Full Version : Can Feather Duster Worms Sustain High Flow?

I have two large Feather Dusters that grace my tank with their eb and flow. However, there are very few places that I can put them where they are not being "blown" by the current. By "blown" I mean bending the tendrils over at times as opposed to just "waving in the breeze". The worms stay out, fully extended. Does anyone have any experience with high current and keeping worms? I would like to get a few more in different colors to color the FOWLR a bit but am concerned about long-term keep.

Its not ideal to add them too a high flow area of the tank..causes a lot of stress and they will quickly drop their crown.

I agree with reefscape. Mine tended to fair better in a low/moderate flow.
