Hi

I've just gotten some plants from a fellow AC'er, but i'm not ready to place them in the tank yet. I'm still waiting for some driftwood to get waterlogged and leech out.
What is the best way to keep these guys outside of the tank? Should i just put them in another tank until ready? I'm dealing mainly with anubias and swords. I'm afraid if i put them in another tank in the meantime, that i won't want to take them out, or they'll root too quickly. My driftwood should be ready in (hopefully) two days, tops!

Any suggestions?

I have kept plants submersed in an open tupperware container. Just make sure they are covered with water.

i would just throw them in the tank and let them float.

You could just throw them into the tank they're going into without planting them yet. They can float there for a week or so without any problems.

Agreed. Let them float in a tank. They wont grow roots that fast.

agree, just float them in the tank you plan to plant them in. whenever i get new plants i float them for a day or two while i decide where the heck i'm going to plant them, lol.

Thanks y'all. I've put them in to float until I'm ready to put 'em in the substrate.
Red Rubin swords are very cool looking!
