Mbuna Video

Yeah i have the female Tropheop Lundu holding and two female Saulosi holding i really need to strip the moms of fry before its too late..

Very cool - I like it a lot.

I've been searching for some mbuna to add to my lab tank and I think you were the one to receommend the saulosi. After seeing your video, they have moved up higher on the list.

I have noticed in your tanks that you have a lot of current? Why is that? I am more of a frontosa guy and we don't use a lot of current as it cuts down of the fertilization of the eggs. I am curious about this as I rebuild my 55 into an mbuna tank.

Thanks,
Russ

The thing with me is i like to see the bubbles but not just ordinary bubbles like from a bubble wand that is placed at the bottom and an air pump pushing those bubbles i love the look from a powerhead with the air tube stuck in the flow pipe from a powerhead creating small fine bubbles like you see in my setups.. also i like to add sponges to my powerheads for added filtering capabilities..

When i clean my tanks every week i clean the sponges as well and the amount of detritus that i see when i spray them clean is amazing so i know its working plus in all of my smaller setups i only use small powerheads with sponges for filters..

Yeah the main reason i love the Saulosi is that the males are blue with black barring and the females are yellow its like having two different species..

IMO, the problem to have saulosis and labs together is the possibility of crossbreeding and fights among the males of the 2 species for the females; since the females of both species are yellow.

Nice video and a great looking tank!
