anyone know what the heck this MSN error is?

It's driving me nuts.. Messenger won't load, and I keep getting this error. After researching it, the best I could do was to uninstal and reinstal MSN messenger. Took an hour to do so (finding the site, redownloading everything, etc)...

Anyway, it worked for one measly day... And now, once again, I get this error, not allowing me to logon.

Has anyone had this issue in the past, and if so, any suggestions on how to resolve it ?

I fixed all my problems (various errors ending with 80191002) by using ZapMessenger and installing 8.1. Maybe I'll try version 2009 in another 6 months when it might work with my system.

this is all i could come up with. it seems to have appeared several times in ways to fix it. Most people appear to be installing 2009 though. hope this helps.

Thanks Niko... I'll do that...

Cheech, I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. Went through all the same stuff you are. It turned out to be a bogus error message. Reinstalling didn't do any good, neither did all the corresponding "fixes" I could find online. Apparently, the real problem was something on the server side at MSN. I'd given up on fixing it for a while. (Couldn't take it anymore.) Then I tried to log in again about 4 hours later and it worked. Give it a few days.... this problem should go away all by itself.

Its a deffinate issue which is caused between live messenger and their server....there is a lot of people screaming at microsoft to get this fixed....as of yet, there is no official fix..

thanks guys... Niko, I did what you instructed, but unfortunately the error message I keep getting isn't in their database of possible error messages, so all I can do is go with other people's experiences, for now.

I have the latest version, 2009 live running on windows XP.

Thanks Kashta, I'll try it tomorrow and hope it works out.. .
