I'm about 30 min away from her and have already emailed about getting a few GBR/some supplies (I have a GORGEOUS pair of German Super Blue Rams that are trying to get the hang of breeding. They are young and a new pair. I'll be selling fry when I have some....) I might be able to ship you some from her if you want. Or if you want to wait, I can ship some of mine as soon as I have fry old enough to ship. I'm anticipating about 2-3 months.

Thank you. I think they are the nicest pair I've ever seen. Apparently they are super blues. I hope they get it right soon. At least they lay every 7 days. : )
I have emailed the craigslister and I can definitely ship you guys as many as you like. All I need are shipping supplies. The more people buy some, the less I'll have to tack on for gas (1 fish= + $20 for gas, 20 fish = +$1 for gas... Not that I would add on $20, just that I would take a huge loss and I'm not even making ANY money on this deal.) I just want enough $ to cover cost from the guy, gas (if possible) and shipping supplies. Send me pms about how many you would each like and what kind of shipping you would like. (Express, overnight, standard)
I'm pretty good at sexing GBRs and I will try my best to make sure you get a pair if that is what you would like. Luckily, I have an empty tank I can set up for these guys as holding and ship them asap.
Unfortunately, I CANNOT guarentee live arival. They aren't my fish so I can't guarentee anything about them. I promise I won't send you some dead fish or really crummy guys though. If I wouldn't want it in my tank, I won't send it. I have never shipped fish before, but I have received fish in the mail so I know what a good pack job looks like. If anyone has packing supplies they would like to donate, or trade for fish (ie: you send me the supplies, all you would pay for is price of fish).
I have not even see the fish this seller has (other than the craigslist picture) but they do look very nice from what I can see. If any of you would like to pre-order my fry (I won't be taking money, just putting you on a "dibs" list for when they are ready so I know I have homes for my fry. I won't be selling them until they are about 1 month old. Again, if I wouldn't be happy with it in my tank, why would you be; I won't sell crappy fish.)
I also have some AMAZING WONDERFUL INCREDIBLE food that I got from Uncle Rick on Aquabid. This stuff is so great that I want to get the rest of the world hooked on it! I can send a sample if you'd like at a very small fee. Probably a buck for 2 ounces. It's called Pro-Grow. I also have Pro-grow Fry (it's smaller) and Pro-Grow Small Fry (it's TINY). It will be great for your rams and fry once you have some. My tetras and guppies LOVE it too!
Elly
Basically, all I need is a total count of the fish I need to pick up.

Poo. I just got this email from the guy:
I have had a lot of responses to the ad and a guy just bought all the German blues and some of the longfins. I have about 8 of the long fins and about 40 of the bolivians left.
The longfins I have left are of course the smaller ones. About an inch or so. Everyone buys the biggest fish. All of the bolivians are adult size and they spawn a lot.
Well, If anyone still wants what he has left let me know. I can get a 20 set up and ship them out right as son as I get breather bags. Sorry all the German Blues are gone guys.
I will be selling my fry as soon as I have some and they are big enough to handle the mail system. Pm me if you want dibs. I'll be asking less than $6 a piece and I can make deals.
It depends on how nice and big and colorful they are (although from this pair I expect great things!)
Here's what my guys look like (I'm SOO lucky!! Thanks westpox!)

If they are too young to sex, I'd take all 8 of the LF GBR and just wait for a pair =) LMK

All that's left are 40 Bolivians. I'd rather not dive for an hour for just 6 fish so if more people want them please let me know. If not, I think I'd rather not go through the trouble. Sorry.

I'm hoping to run up tomorrow or the next day and get at least 25. I have one person who wants 6-10 and another that wants 6. Let me know ASAP if you want a few and I'll get some more!!! I will definitely run by the post office tomorrow and get flat rate boxes so I can tell you all how much shipping is. It should be no more than $15 for 2 day.

I hope those of you who Elly is shipping fish to take care of her. $$$
She is a very nice person and is going to extra lengths for you.
After Elly left with her fish another gentleman showed up and bought the rest. After we removed all the weeds(plants) we found 35 more bolivians. SO I had 51 total. The bolivians were all from one spawn. They were raised by the parents for several weeks and than separated into 4 tanks. About 120 to start. I have sold some along the way. About 30 were left with the parents for a few months. These fish grew faster and more colorful than the rest. A noticable difference. Some of the pairs Elly picked up are mated. We removed them from nests with either fry or eggs. I may still have fry in the gravel in one or two tanks. These bolivians are eager maters and spawners and they work hard trying to protect thier broods. The longfins are small and average color. They need some live brine shrimp a couple meals a day to get thier size and colors up. The parents were sold yesterday. The father was etremely healthy and beautiful. Very large fins. The mother was older and average. I started with a brood of a couple hundred and had major losses. They have been inbred so many times by the breeders that most strains have become weak and fragile. I had planned to fix some of that by crossing stocks but just don't have the time. The german blues were beautiful and it is hard to let your best fish go but I am getting out of the hobby. I just have too many things going on and the fish take more time than I have. Good luck to you who have shipments on the way. You OWE Elly!

Thank you very much Steve for your kind words! I just want to help out others in the hobby. I've been sent some crummy fish before that I paid a lot for and was disappointed. I didn't want others to have the same experience. Hopefully when I have fry old enough to sell I will have some happy people that will tell their friends. I hope all of your guys' shipments make it safely and quickly through the mail. : ) Good luck with your new colonies!!!

My fish arrived today! They are sooo cute! But more importantly, they are alive.. very well packaged and in the bucket acclimating right now I am so excited haha I will be posting some pics of them in the cichlid section, but I just want to send out a special thanks to Elly, you did an amaing job packing these guys and shipping them to me, even my post office lady was like "wow it really was only 2 days" lol anyway, I appreciate that, and I'll be watching for your fry soon =)
And steve, thanks for the good looking fishys, they are pretty plain right now but I can already see pinks/reds on their fins.. I can't wait to watch them grow up, thanks again =)
Agreed, my Bolivians arrived today too, and they are healthy & beautiful. I appreciate you sending them, Elly. :) Not sure if you're checking back on this thread, Stevie, but if you do, I was just wondering what pH you kept the Bolivians in & what kind of food they are used to. Thanks!

I don't know if Steve checks this, but he told me that he uses half RO water (pH of about 6) and half tap which makes it about 7-7.2 pH. Glad to know you guys like them. I'll post a new thread so we can do feedback. : )
