Actually it's for a friend he just acquired a 10g Hex tank, what should he stock it with? Any and all idea's please :P

Thanks!

What is the footprint or measurements across the tank? That will make a big difference in what can be stocked in it. Most hex tanks have a small footprint and can not comfortably house as many fish as regular long tanks.

It's 14x12x18 so apparently its a taller tank.

A tall tank like that works well for livebearers. Guppies, Endlers, Platies tend to swim all over the tank rather than in the lower waters.

I agree. You could also do a betta or an invert tank with cherry and green shrimp (if you do 2 types of shrimp they have to be of different species or will interbreed and result in wild type), Bridgessi snails, ember tetras, any smaller (less than 1" adult size) tetra would be great in there.

i'd put a betta or dwarf gourami in there with a couple shortfinned mollies, female guppies, or maybe a small school of harlequin rasboras. spice it up with some red cherry shrimp and yellow shrimp.
