In my 29 gallon I was overfeeding to get my gobies in breeding condition. This led to a (bladder) snail population explosion. I'm starting to see completely clear adult snails be born, with only slight yellow mottling in the shell. I've isolated the clear snails, to see if they will produce clear offspring. Any of you have any experience with this?:feedback:
Hmmm..Pics? This is interesting. Albinism does happen almost to everything. There's always a first time for everything.:grinyes:

i have them all the time,.. its inbreeding i even had one last year see thru with a bright royal blue body,.. it was sweet kept here for a while she got real big about 1 cm but then one day i found her dead
right now i've been squishing them but the tens look like little pearls,.. but kinda see thru,..
I get them too... I don't know if they are true Albino though... some develop a coloured tip to their shell.

Color morphs generally are extreme inbreeding. I truthfully thought I only had ramshorn snails in that tank before I saw the clear ones, and I don't actually SEE any opaque bladder snails in there

It's only a matter of time...
... they're waiting until you least expect them- then... WHAM! you've got bladder snails of the opaque kind. As (I believe) Benjamin Franklin once said - only three things in life are certain:
"Death, taxes, and bladder snails".

I want blue bladders! I have yet to get one. I do have some that are getting a pearly grey shell though. I love'em!
