Florida Legalizes Taking Guns To Work (http://www.theonion.com/content/infograph/florida_legalizes_taking_guns?utm_source=onion_rss _daily)

Florida legislators passed a bill allowing citizens to bring their guns to work. Here are some of the other pro-gun laws enacted recently.
Alaska—Members of endangered species now permitted to carry concealed firearms for self-protection
Louisiana—Now legal for residents to shoot at hurricanes
Minnesota—Any resident may fire a single shot every five years, or when Vikings win
Idaho—You can have a gun, or a grenade, but not both
Virginia—Non-gun-owning residents must apply for a permit to not own and operate a firearm

New York—Guest stars on Law & Order may bring their own guns to the set
Kansas—Children as young as 8 can bring guns to school on the condition that there's no funny business
Texas—That huge cattle gun used by Javier Bardem's character in No Country For Old Men now legally available at Fiesta Mart grocery stores

Owning a gun doesn't make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.

truth be told though I carry a firearm with me at work. Own my own Onsite IT business. almost everyone I know carries a firearm.
as Izzy2 said, it makes you a smart american. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE BRAINS TO KNOW WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO USE IT. !!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could get a concealed carry permit... here, you have to convince the local sherriff that you 'need' a gun. Threats against your life are often not enough, as they say that self defense is not sufficient reason to need a gun. You pretty much have to be a cop. The worst part is that if there was a coyote in my yard (which is quite likely - we've seen them) I couldn't legally shoot it.

lol... job says I have to stay... wife loves it... I think I'm doomed.

Overall, it's great. There are just a few ridiculous laws that get annoying.

That's understandable. If you're ever on the east coast I'll take you out shooting with me. I have some toys that are wayyyyy illegal to own and shoot in your state. :D

Lol... all the fun stuff is... every one of the cool 12g rounds is illegal... tazers, jacks, flares, even beanbags...the only legal rounds are the 'standard' -pellets and slugs- and the rubbers... then of course, there's that automatic 'assault' rifle ban... The only good thing about being where I am as far as guns go, is that there is some nice dessert not too far off where I can go and shoot whatever I want... we had a dead microwave... that was fun... my wife hadn't realized just how powerfull a .40 s&w actually is... of course the 00 buck from the 12 was alot more fun....

Speaking of 12 ga., I'm on the look out for a Saiga 12 gauge which I'm sure are totally illegal to own in CA.

what's special about it? my norinco is barely legal. The barrel has to be at least 18 inches, and it is just barely 18.

Well it's a semi-auto, it can have a 5-12 round clip or a 20 round drum, it has a muzzlebrake and can have a collapsible stock. Basically it's an AKM that can shoot 12 ga., your typical "Evil Black Gun".

I see them for sale around here too, I just need to save some money. I have way too many expensive hobbies. A friend of mine might sell me his original WWII German Mauser that is in fantastic shape for dirt cheap. I might have to buy that first before the Saiga. No, I am going to buy that first, lol!

How do you like yours? I hear you need to shoot quite a few rounds through them to brake them in.

Yeah, they action was really stiff when i got it, but now after about 20 or 30 cases it shoots pretty clean. I would not advice shooting slugs however until about 900 rounds have gone through it. I would buy the Mauser faster than you can say Mauser... Is it in "I just stole this from a german" condition, or has it had the Icons destroyed.... makes a huge difference when going to sell it. I too have way, way too many expensive hobbies. lol

Oh it was definitely stolen from the Germans. This baby has the eagle stamp and everything. It's in awesome shape. I feel bad buying it off him for the price he's willing to give it to me for. It's easily worth 3x that much.

Oh I'm going to buy it and when I do it's going in my gun safe. I doubt I'd ever want to shoot it.
