I'm planning to move soon and need to sell basically everything!
55 gal fully set up
freshwater aquascaped with low light(low demanding) plants: grasses, anubas, java moss, couple of ferns and tall background plants. Used CO2 DIY diffuser, HOB filter and a submersable filter, heater, glass top, and a shop light from Home Depot with 2 40 watt bulbs. It gives more than enough light esp is you pick low to medium light plants. Also a big u shaped driftwood piece that is covered with anubias! The substrate is 90% flourite and because of the CO2 disfuser and frequent iron doses I dont believe this tank/substrate is anywhere near "crashing". Also will include the cynder blocks and varnished wood to use as the stand. It is an older tank with the narrow depth but has given me years of enjoyment as she is and was my trophy tank. Can include my if desired: beautiful golden angel, many rasboras, a few White Clouds, beautiful guppy/endler mixes, a huge 1.25" Amano shrimp, 1 male swordtail (for the long hair algae), many more I cant remember. This is a beautiful active healthy colorful community tank. Please not I have never used chemicals for Ich or fungus or any diseases in this tank EVER! I always used a hospital tank for new fish. WHOLE SET UP for $200 OBO
Also selling a 40 gall tall tank that also has and older foot print but would be perfect for and Angel or Discus tank. It does have a break in the middle plastic cross beam BUT I have had it filled for months and no leaks or breaks. I fixed it with reinforced steel bolted through to hard plastic. Hasnt moved a miilimeter in months. Or a simple clamp would work fine. And when drained can further reinforce it if desired. Have a 36" light that would work but its short that I can throw in too. Also heater and air pump if desired. $75 OBO.
The other fully set up tank I'm selling is a 20 gall standard tank with Tahitian sand mixed with Eco Complete (best substrate) that the anubias cant get enough in. I have a standard flourescent bulb on topcover and all plants are thriving. This one also has a very preety wrought iron stand, HOB filter, heater. Very nice clean looking tank includes: feather fin rainbow, huge pencil fish and a very hard working bristlenose pleco. Also a very colorful Pearl Gourmis. Fish are added only if desired of course. $50 OBO
Many miscellaneous things can be throw in if needed. ie aquarium salt, extra filer medium, extra air pumps, extra bulbs (even for the 55 gal). I live in the northside of Chicago and work in the western suburbs so would be willing to deliver about 30 miles away from either Chicago or Oakbrook. I need the cash for the move out west but hate to see my babies go. No cracks or leaks in any tank, all offered with stands and 2 are offered fully set up.
