bugs?

I was checking on my snail's clutch and found bugs in my tank. They are black and craw on the glass neer the water line. When I wash them down into the water they jump back onto the glass. At least it looks like they are jumping, it happens fast. Does anyone know what they are? Looks like a tiny black line that walks. I thought it was a worm at first. I will do my best to add pictures soon.
