nice! how much did you pay for her?

I got her and 9 babies for $30.00. I don't know if you can tell but she is red, white and black. 8 of the others are Crystal Red and one is Crystal black.

Wowzah!!! She's a beauty!! I've never seen one like that.

Yeah thats just a CBS, depending on how available they are 30$ seems a bit steep, cool shrimp though.

It's just a low grade (most likely B) CBS. They won't have both red and black, that one is definitely a black. $30 seems like a lot to pay for her!

Well she is definately red, black and white. Her tail is red and her body is black and white. I paid $30.00 for 10 of them and the CRS are a much higher grade. I just liked this one because she looks different. I thought she was the only adult as she is twice the size of my other females but I have 3 that are berried so I think she is just big.

I agree that $30 for a single adult is steep, but an adult female plus 9 babies for $30 is a deal, even if the coloration isn't very good... in a few months that's worth a lot more. patience.

ideally, you'd want an adult male asap as well...

Even if it's berried that's still a lot to pay for it. You aren't even guaranteed a certain number of babies will hatch let alone survive. I'd take my chances with 10 juvies rather than 1 berried female.

In a few months these shrimp probably won't even be around. I see silica sand as the subtsrate and it's pretty well known that a soil like ADA Amazonia is practically necessary to get the water where it needs to be for these shrimp to live. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they start to kick the bucket within 2 weeks.
