Noticed some strange activity in the 125 tonight and grabbed my video camera.

I thought these 2 discus were both males, but it looks like I was mistaken. I have raised these since they were only a little bigger than a US Quarter Coin.

I was not expecting to see this, and was completely unprepared for it.
Now I have to get some supplies.. and a cone, or tile or flower pot or something...

I know, it's exciting. 2 of mine used to breed like clockwork every 4 days. On the 3rd day they'd always have the eggs for lunch. They quit doing it after I moved them to a bigger tank with more tankmates.

Grab some research on discus breeding and a tripod while you're at it..LOL

I got queezy watching the first video...haha... Nice looking fish, if the above poster is right you may want to fill them with protein very soon to keep them from snacking on the eggs/fry

zig I would just let them try to get eggs to the wiggler stage before buying all the other stuff. It may take them a bit to get it right. looks good though.

125 gallon planted though is kinda big and the fry will probably get separated from the parents after one night or so. remember lights on 24/7 if the eggs hatch.
