Hello all...I am a newbie at this most enjoyable hobby. I recently found out that I really enjoy having a fish tank. I purchased a 10 gallon tank a few months ago (yes...now I realize that is is waaaaaaaayyyy to small) and I bought 2 small angel fish, a betta, a loach, 3 glow in the dark neons, 5 platies, 2 algie eaters and a panda fish.

I now realized that my tank is too small. My angel fish which started out very small are about 3-4 inches big and very very beautiful. I get so much pleasure from watching my fish I just can't belive it!

I have very limited space as my tank is in my office which is very small so I don't know what to do. I have a 10 inch stand and tank and I do have the room to go up and only can go a few inches wider. Also I have to have an in-tank filter as I don't have the room to bring my tank out from the wall any further. Any advice on fish, tanks, etc would be appreciated. I will enjoy reading this site.
Linda

You might consider taking some of the fish back. It's likely you have both a male and female platy(and they breed constantly), which will result in even further catastrophic crowding.

:iagree: The best bet it to take the fish to your local fish store (LFS) and most of the time they will at least give you store credit which you can use for more appropriate fish. The Angels are way too big as is the loach and will be stunted. It would also be a good idea to strt a thread inthe freshwater newbie forum for further advice.
Regardless, Welcome! You will soon find that one tank is not enough and they are never big enough! LOL
