View Full Version : Tons of baby snail?????

I have been checking my tank lately with the lights off, and there have been upwards of 50 tiny snails on the glass and rocks. Would these most likely be from my turbos or my sand sifters? Are they likely to survive? I haven't purchased anything new in months, so I know they aren't hitchhikers. I will get a pic tonight if I can.

I wish mine would reproduce...better than buying new ones...sheesh!

Get a pic if you can. sounds like Collonista snails and they don't get much bigger.

Where do those come from? Yes, they do only come out at night, but I wasn't sure if that was just when they felt safe. I will get a pic.

That is usually when they show up. I have Collonista, myself, in addition to tiny cerith-shaped rissoid snails.

Who knows. They can come from sand sources, rocks, etc. They burrow in the sand and do quite a bit of good. I love mine.
