Cheap fluval 304

Just in case you are out shopping Petcetera that I was at today in Naniamo had Fluval 304's on for $99. The usually go for $160. up here. I am not sure if the sale is BC or Canada wide but it is worth checking out.

I also sadly watched as a lady came to the till with one bag with 8 miscellaneous fish and another bag with a beta. I was then totally amazed when the cashier who was a supervisor inquired because of the number of fish. They were all going into a brand new 10 gallon tank!! She was nice enough to advise the customer that she had too many fish and then called a staff member to educate the customer. Nice to see a little bit of care out of a chain store.

You can get 404's at big als online for $85.00

That is in the states. Up here in Canada Big Al's sells 404's for $180. They have 304's for $130.

Just buy from Big Al's us site and they ship to canada. The cnd. is doing so good but canadian retailers are sell their goods at the same price and keeping the profit. Even with costly shiping charges it's still way cheaper. At big al's a Penguin 330 is like 23 usd. at petland where I live its like $100+ cnd. Now if only the cnd. was equal.

It might be cheaper considering how strong our dollar has been but do you know if they have to charge you duty? I know that when I bought chemical for my company a $30.u.s. bottle ended up costing me $110. canadian.

Most likey they will charge duty of probably 20-30 cnd. still alot cheaper. Your chemicals could have had a ton of extra $$$ added on for shipping hazardous material.

Yes, I just bought a 304 at Petcetera for $99. It works really well. I am thinking about another one for my 135 gallon tank. It is amazing to see the price difference between fish stores. One place wants over $200 for the 304 and the clerk didn't even blink when I mentioned the sale price at Petcetera.
