Magnum Filter Help

I just got a 55 gallon tank, came with both an above water over hang filter as well as a Magnum canister filter.. Where do i add teh carbon in the magnum? in the center? the filter itself looks ok, works fine, but i dont kno where to put the carbon???

There is a little "basket" so to speek in the center. Fill that up with carbon, or whatever medium you are going to use. When you fill up the basket, stick it under running water to rinse off any powdered carbon.
