Pleco ???

I know this is kind of a dumb question, but can someone help me ID my pleco? I think it's a sailfin pleco but I'm not sure. I see most people id their pleco with an L### designation. What is that all about? I guess I'm just curious, I feal a little out of the loop on this one. Could someone point me to a good website with info on this mater? Thank you in advance for your help? there are a couple pics of the aforementiond pleco in my gallary, in the 125g section.

If it is a sailfin (which is a common name for many of them) be sure to count the soft rays on the dorsal first.

L-numbers are a way to designate between different species that are not assigned a full latin name yet.
