can they live in a 55 gallon? If so how many can live in there?

How many depends on stocking space, but you can keep them in groups. They have bred in aquariums, though rarely.

I only have 1 in a 25 gallon tank. We've had him for about 2 years. How many would depend on what else you have in your tank. Can you provide a list?

i have currently 8 cory cats. i think. and thats it. i think have decided aginst them unless you think a few can live in a 30 gal long. nothing currently occupies it.
