need help

i have two tiger barbs that seem to have green sparkly stuff on their black stripes. i got them from petco in October. what could this be and what do i do? they are acting OK. but they are my first tiger barbs so i dont exactly know what is abnormal. the only thing is that i think maybe my algae eater is stressing them out, but that is a different problem... they are in a 10gal. just changed the filter, did a wc a few days ago. any ideas?

Most will recommend against keeping tiger barbs in a 10 gallon. Iridescent sheen isn't uncommon mine have it also. Also as a sidenote what type of "algae eater" do you have not many are suitable for a ten gallon?
