powerhead question.

this morning, i woke up and went outside and noticed my
old power head sitting in its box atop some other stuff in
my garage. i put it in my current 75 long, and got to thinking.
it never came with a cover for the suction underneath the powerhead...
and currently, i have three 1-inch or so zebra danios living it up
in there. this thing is pretty strong-suction wise-and i was just wondering
if i have anything to worry about. its sand substrate...and in a little while
a fire eel is going to be taking over the tank. will this permit any problems?
