VERY nice room placement. Perfect under the window. Nice job! Colors of the wood match the room well also. Can't wait to see it up and running!
Do you have fish in yet? What kind of fish are you going to have in it?

Ohhh! That is my dream tank! 7 feet long, right? I have the perfect spot for one but I would have to hire a moving crew to get it down my stairs.
Congratulations!!!!!
Just be sure that no direct sunlight can enter the tank from that window....

Did you have to reinforce the floor to handle the weight?

Great tank!
But... Under a window? Hopefully you won't have direct sunlight beaming down on the tank for any period of time. That could cause algae problems..
Most likely it will be ok since the window is not that big.

Very nice tank, but like others have said, watch the light from the window. Also, I heard someone else ask about supporting the floor. Not sure if it's the picture but the floor looks like it's bowing. From my calculations, if it's a glass tank, and looks it, you have about 2700 pounds there. Even if it's acrylic it still in the 2400 to 2500 range. I have a 150 and it weighs about 1600. I had to reinforce my floor to handle it. What are you using for filters on that? I'm asking cause I'm about to start a forum on my 150. About to make some major changes and want to get some input.
I agree with beviking, throw the TV away and put the furniture around the tank.

Bet if the lights were set-up and turned on, the water wouldn't look as bad. I'm guessing the lack of light makes it look that way for now...

125Joe....yeah, havent gotten to the lights yet. The color paint beind the tank also gives the water the off-color illusion.
travelinman....The light from the window is no problem. Because of the height of the window, the angle of our house and the way it is facing the tank doesnt get very much direct sunlight. The "bowing affect" is an illusion from the photo. The floor was built with floor beams 12" off-center for extra support (opposed to the standard 16" off center). Then for added insurance we put a steel lolly column in the basement underneath it.
Beviking.....yeah, those are peel and stick tiles. It makes the whole room look a little more "upscale" and gives it a nice finished look. And it provides a barrier so that any spilt water wont get on the carpet.
Luvmykribs...the tank will be a CA-SA tank. Final tenants arent decided, but they will come from a group that includes Bleekeri (madagascar, I know), Bifasciatus, Synspilum, Carpintis, Midas, Lyonsi, Chocolates and Nicaraguense. All of the above are currently in other tanks.
Akido.....I originally "blamed" the wife for the wall color, but I'm getting used to it.:D
