I am tired of not being able to get enough CO2 out of a DIY. I have a old 5 lb fire extinguisher laying around so all I need is a regulator. Preferably used but reliable so I can afford it.

Bradlgt, you also need a proper canister for the CO2. A fire extinguisher isn't going to work.

I have read many articles that say you can use a fire extinguisher cylinder. Class C fire extinguishers are CO2 anyway. It's just a cylinder to hold co2.

yes but you would have to change some things on top of the extinguisher to make it work

that is what I read. I went on Rexgrigg.com he is the guy who builds the regulator this website says is one of the best. I should have been more specific with my posting. I want to keep it near te $50 price range for a older used one if possible. thanks for the offer j-gens, I am sure it's a great regulator and I will keep it in thought. It may take me a little longer to be able to spend that much.
