Rift Valley Fish Breeders, is a place to get africans.The CRLCA is another.They are both canadian based.

I used to have a bunch but they were mostly for cichlids, one did have other fish.They were all canadian based.

I know you can order from Armkes.com and get fish shipped to canada. A few people in my aquarium club have a couple of times but its only really worth ordering in large numbers or if there is a fish you really want and are ready to pay alot for.

What sort of fish are you looking for? Can you not find it in your city? I have had good luck with getting my fish through hobbiests. I have gotten tons of fish trough my local aquarium club. I also check out for sale ads on some of the websites.

its not so much that i cant find the fish im looking for but the question is could i get them for cheaper.
im specifacally looking for piranhas and exodons

anythign mail order will cost more then buying locally, that is if you have reasonable prices at the LFS. Shipping IS what costs so much.

I was going to order some fish from a LFS in calgary and have them shipped up but jsut the shipping was going to be 60$.

The people in my club that ordered fish from armkes shipping was only about 2$ per fish but they ordered hundreds of dollars of fish.

All in all it will most likely be cheaper to buy locally.

If you want cheap check out the clubs inyour area. Since joining mine i have hardly paid for fish. Or the auctions are also great, I got tons of fish for 2$ each that sell for 20$+ at the LFS.
