My V2 Nano Protein Skimmer has been in full swing now for a good 5 days and seems to be working fine, however, is the water outlet ment to be depositing bubbles with the flow or is it supposed to be pure water return. Now I'm assuming that because the tank has no organics of any type in it at the moment, that is why its not producing any of the usual collected foam but slimy fluid with what I assume is silt and dust from the sand. In regard to the bubbles from the water outlet of the skimmer, they are not micro bubbles like what is being fed into the cup but slightly larger ones, again I'm assuming this might be because the skimmer is not doing its full job because of the lack of organic life in the tank and wondered will they stop coming out the water outlet once the skimmer is doing a proper job when life is introduced. Or, is it just a case that all skimmers work differently?
