Ditched the fully planted tank. Ive always loved Brevis (and Shellies in general), but the tanks are just too boring to look at sometimes. But how to keep plants with fish that dig 24/7? DRIFTWOOD!
No vacancy
The driftwood is covered in good old fashioned Java Ferns, grown from sprouts. They have lived in CO2/Fertilized water most of their life, but are growing in the new setup with neither.
The Brevis are F1 Katabe and as I hoped, have zero interest in the plants. Currently there are 7 in there, will probably thin out the numbers as pairs form (and I have 2 pairs sharing shells already).
