well only two of them have visible signs, but if one of them has visible spots, that means everyone else will eventually too..right?

anyway, i have "ick clear" to treat. and the directions say use 1 tablet for every 10 gallons, and if 40+ gallons, dissolve the tablets first, then put into tank.

so my tank is 55 gallons. so ill pull out some tank water, put the 5 tablets in, dissolve, pour that into my tank..and before hand, take out the black carpety stuff from my filters right? and then how long do i leave those out?

A much simpler and effective method is to raise the temp a few degrees (into the 80's at least) and add table salt.

its already 80 degreez, but can someone explain exactly what i need to do with this salt method?

my tank cntains neon tetras, tiger barbs, rainbow shark, platies, and 2 german blue rams

salt will be ok with all these fish?

Higher temps speed up the ichs life cycle...bump it up a couple more degrees.

The concentration of salt used is safe for pretty much all fish. Just make sure it is added predissolved.

okay. so explain this part to me. i have a 55 gallon tank.

im gonna syphon out 5 gallons of water into a bucket. how many tablespoons of salt should i put in the bucket? i already know, to gradually add that bucket of water back into my tank slowly.

also, i have some aqarium salt i wanna use up, just to get rid of it.. if its not enough for the whole tank, its ok to mix just regular table salt? i called a fish store, and they said i should only use "epson" salt?the table salt brand i have is "morton salt" and it says it contains no iodine or whatever.

sorry if these are silly questions, its just i spent 30 bucks on two rams recently, so i wanna make sure these beautiful fish live.

Does for the full tank...many recommend around 2-3 teaspoons per gallon.

Aquarium salt is basically the same thing as table salt, NaCl but without the anti-caking ingredients. Epsom salt is a completely different substance and will not kill the ich.
