i have a freshwater 55 gal being setup. a friend gave me a all glass dual strip floresent light but the end caps are destroyed. i found 3 Piece Waterproof German Flourescent Endcaps T12 (one pair) - work with both STD and VHO bulbs 3-piece design with rubber o-ring to protect... can this be used as a replacement or should i just buy a new lighting system?

take the old fixture apart and take the pieces to the hardware store.
or you can either get a new light or try retro fit.
