new 75 gallon

What kind of geos? Just me but since you have CA cichlids minus the geos just get more CA cichlids so the temperments match.

The deal looks ok... The 75g looks like it'll be way overstocked as the fish grow out. Short term (year?), you might get away with it if the fish are juvis.

Also, you haven't indicated whether or not you will be getting same-sex firemouth, and you SURELY don't want something breeding in that tank. Having said that, the cons would happily pair up with firemouths and maybe with a sal, so you have to consider the possible x-breeding as well.

I think the geos are going to be overwhelmed by the CAs. If it were me, I'd be looking to end up with the jd, sal, ONE fm, and ONE con, and the sal, fm, and con of the same sex - OR - with this smaller stocking, you might try for a single pair of fm or cons. I just think you have to be prepared to thin out the "herd" as they grow out, so you might as well start thinking about how you're going to go about that.

the tank isn't big enough for that many cichlids.
