Very cool, I will be thinking about it. I know that canas are a big commitment though and that they will eat my plants. Are you near the twin cities (you can pm me if you don't want to say)?
You might want to post on MFK too, since they are rather monsterous snails.

Ok, thanks. I am still thinking about it. What size and colors are they? Also, do you know how they get along with briggs/diffusa. I wouldn't want my other guys to starve or get beaten up.

Mine get along fine, they do compete for food though. I just put enough for everyone to be happy and then take out the left overs. Another thing that works well for me is putting lettuce in first and when all the canas are up top eating I drop in algea wafers or some cucumbers for the brigs.

Would love Canas but I'm neither in Minnesota (so can't take 'em due to shipping regs) nor do I have an unplanted tank to put them in.

If I were in state and be putting my name down for the late autumn (when I plan to set up an invert-only tank).

So- this post may on the surface appear to be a waste time... and indeed it is, for me... but for you consider it a free bump... LOL

OOC what is the gallon per snail requirement for Canas- I know they grow significantly bigger than Briggs- they must require a lot of gallonage per snail.

Estimate that at 5 gallons of water per cana or haustrum.... for Briggs, it's 2.5 gallons per snail.
