Its bin a while cence I have seen them BUT I ran across a few yesterday. What do they eat? Are they hard to keep? These kinda looked Large so WOuld they swallow small fish? Just wondering what your wxperiances might have bin with them?

they get at least 12 inches long, probably longer.

they will also eat any fish that will fit in their mouths, which is actually surprisingly large.

they also like to burrow through the substrate, so sand is your best option.

ya It looked like it had a large "Hinged" mouth. I looked on the net it said easily over 2 Feet Long! I am gona hold off on those guys. I don't want my Little fish swallowed!

Many will only eat live food and they can get over 2ft long, depending on the sex of the eel. They are escape artists and if there is an opening they will eventually find it and jump out. They are not necessarily aggressive fish but they will eat anything living that will fit in their mouth. I don't recommend them unless you are willing to provide for a large picky eater of a fish.
