I kept fish for a year, then had a bad fall/accident and tank crash, so I have been away from the hobby for 9 months or so. I recently set up my 55 gallon again (moved houses as well) about a month ago. I currently have a planted tank with a mated pair of half-black Veiltail Angels, 8 Flame Tetras, and an Albino Bristlenose Pleco. Future stocklist to add is 5-7 more Flames (depending on which way I go with my stocklist), 5 Bolivian Rams, possiblly another BNP and possibly 6 Corydoras (not sure which kind though).
I last kept African Cichlids (Mbuna) and thought I loved their color and personality, I like the planted look better than the rockwork- plus I like to be able to have tetras and catfish and other Cichlids.
The Angels are a hoot- they spawned twice in about a week's time. The female picks on the male (had a lip injury so I added the tetras earlier than planned) so he has to go show his manliness by picking on the little fish. Last night he actually knocked the poor BN pleco off of the glass.
Anyway, I also have 2 human kids (3 and 7) and 2 black cats. I'm 28 years old and am quickly becoming a fish nerd.....
