Anyone looking to get another HOB filter right now, Drs. Foster & Smith has the Marineland Emporer 280 filter on sale for $39.99, it comes with a $10.00 mail in rebate, and use coupon code 37201311 to save $5.00 off the order at checkout! With this deal, the filter will cost you about $25,00 plus shipping. Use coupon code 3658573 for $10.00 off a $100 order. I like these filters over the Aquaclears for grow-out tanks, the babies do not get sucked into the filter. On Aquaclears you need to put a sponge on the filter intake....even for full grown male ember tetras. Happy shopping!

as far as i know, Marineland has gone bankrupt already and have sold it to hartz company,.. at least thats the word on the street,.. so i don't think you will get much,..

I'll still submit it. I didn't know there was a rebate on the filter until the box came with it yesterday, stuck on the front in bright orange, good 3/09 until 3/10. So I'll still send the form with my "forever" stamp on it and see what happens. I needed another Emporer anyway and waited for the Drs. to put them on sale. So there is still money to be saved. Around here they are $59 in the chain pet stores.

thanxs for the deal !! I will ck that filter out I have never had one, but always in need of a grow out tank filter, so I will just throw it on one of my big tanks keep it seeded' , then when I need a grow out tank BAM ~ no cycle :) ~~ baby angels grow FAST ! LOL ~ thanxs deb .

well i see u guys are looking for some powerfilters. go to www.kensfish.com and look at his is emperor 280 is 35 bucks but u can get a penguin 350 for 31 bucks. i think that the penguin is a better deal also his own filter media is cheaper. they are acutaly ginger filter media and that are like a 1.50 each or so. i get just about all my fish stuff from him and hes cheaper then alot of the other website. take a look at it and tell me what u think. also his shipping is really cheap
