Water Clarity

Does anyone notice, or maybe its something else that with a planted tank the water is hard to keep crystal clear?
Before I added my plant package it was, but a couple weeks later, the water just wont stay crystal anymore.
I have some driftwood that was previously in there before the plants too.

I've never had the problem myself.

When you say "water clarity" are you referring to cloudy water or maybe foggy glass? Just a shot but do you have algae issues due to excessive lighting in your tank?

If you think it's related to the tannins, have you been using carbon in your filter? It's not necessary but it's pretty effective at removing tannins from the water . That is, if tannins were your issue in the first place.

Also, is this your first planted tank?
Have you given the problem any time to clear itself up?
