Well I've seen it all. I thought dye injected into fish was bad, but an article in the local paper proved that wrong. One of the lfs is selling genetically engineered zebra danios that glow red. A Florida company(can't remember the name) has injected the fish with the genes from a luminescent marine creature.

Personally I think this ranks down on the same level as dye injection, a cheap appeal to the masses. I'm interested in finding out how other people knowledgable in this hobby feel about this issue.

The gene changing stuff does not bother me. That does not mean I will ever buy one, espscially 5 bucks for zebra danio. Forget that.

Yep, there are many threads on this, going back several months. The latest is in GCC.

Locking this--sorry but there are only so many times I can let the dead horse be beat.
