How can i get the temp down in my tank without buying a chiller?? My temp has been hovering around the low 80's... Right now its at 81.2. Any help would be great, Thanks.

That temperature is fine and it is unnecessary to lower it. Natural reefs average ~82 F. If, for some reason, you feel uncomfortable with these temps (I always run my tank in this range), then some fans running across the water's surface--tank or sump--will usually lower it a few degrees.

Great! Thank you, I just talked with my LFS and they said they run theirs at 77, so i was jost hoping to get it closer to that range. And just so I know what temp would be in the danger areas? THanks again!

Below 75 and above 84 for extended periods are generally issues. The ideal is in the upper range, a few degrees shy of the upper limit.

Where I am from, power failures are common during summer and we use wigs (woven strips of cotton) hanging from the sides of the tank with one end dipping in the tank water. This cools the tank by evaporation and capillary raise. Adding fan will help further. It is tough to explain without a picture.
Hope you get the idea - It was for fresh water though (Gold fish tanks)

We have most of our clients tanks at 80 to 82. Consistancy is more important. You could always add a clamp fan to the tanks rim to blow off the heat if you wanted to but I wouldnt be to worried.

I use a fan pointing at my halides which keeps the temp steady, especially if I switch it on before the lights.
If I need to get the temp down in a hurry (e.g broken heater!!!!) I have a frozen bottle of RO water in my freezer ready to float in the sump if needs be.
