Ok my community asian tank contains the following:
5 or 6 clown loaches
2 or 3 dwarf loaches
2 weather loaches
2 gold dojo loaches
8 or 9 black kuli loaches
6 or 7 glass cats
4 or 5 silver hatchet fish
and one blue male betta

i can never get an exact count...cause one day i will see 2 clowns another day i will see all six.....so anyway. i know how many fish i have put into the tank....and i know the max number of black loaches i ever have had in the tank is 10....and they are all have been in the tank for not less than 6 months. i have not added any fish to the tank nor would anyone in my family dare do that.

So today, i do the night time feeding about an hour before i am going to turn the lights out and i sort of hang out and watch..all of a sudden from under the driftwood it was like the gravel became alive all these little wormy things started coming oaut about an inch to an inch and a half long
looked like the whole bottom of the tank was squirming

no i havent had anything to drink...or smoke....
i cleaned my glasses and said darn....and then wondered and said oh wow we had babies

so now i am trying to figure out are they weathers or blacks
u will see from the few decent pics i got that they are black with a few specks on the back tail...and i counted appx 20 or 24 lil ones....i will try to get more pics tomorrow now that i know they r there.

Ok first pic u will see a weather, the baby and a dwarf loach

Too cute. I thought for sure when I saw the pics that they were dojos, but I've never had kuhli loaches and didn't realize how similar the body shape can be. Seems like you'll have quite the loach preschool on your hands, in any case.

oh and i forgot to mention in the tank there are also about 5 or 10 red cherry shrimp....a couple came into the tank when i was tossing in some java moss from another tank, and they to seem to like the place since they seem to be...multiplying. ...and i will assume are also providing tasty morsels for the betta, clown loaches, etc as well.

Wow, that's too cool! For some reason I just assumed Dojos didn't breed in captivity. That's sure what they look like to me!

got up this morning and fed the asian tank and waited with camera in hand to see if I could get a few more pics.....loaches move quick!....

you will see in most of the pictures the larger thicker black kuhli loach adults and then u will see the thinner narrower, shorter babies....i am still not sure if they are weather or black...with those speckles on the tail...appears to be a wait and see:
