10 Gallon East Asian Freshwater Biome, species only, 1 Eyespot Puffer (Monotreta Leirus)

The story about how I got this fish was when I was at the LFS I saw this puffer that looked like a Target Puffer. I have wanted a puffer for years and I knew when I saw this puffer for sale it was a done deal. Plus since it's a Target Puffer I have the tank size that fits the min tank size perfectly. I also got it for ten dollars (which is amazing), but the problem is that these fishes were extremely sick at the time... But now, Joe (that's the puffers name) is well and alive (if not a bit lazy...).

I named my puffer after Joe Camel (I HATE ciggaratte smoke btw) because in order to smoke you have to puff and pufferfishes are known for puffing up hence the name. It's kind of a lame joke/pun but I think you get the idea.

Nice pick up
Thank you, yeah I knew that I was purchasing a more rare type of Puffer and indeed I was right. They sell the same type of puffer for $70 at thatpetplace whereas I got mine for only ten.

In addition I hope to move Joe into a larger tank and once I get the heater in working order, buy some more plants, and then let them grow then I will let Joe into the 24 gallon aquarium (which is where he should be) and then prepare my ten gallon for 3 dwarf malabar puffers. I will show pictures of the 24 gallon aquarium in one minute (and after I make this post)...

24 Gallon Saltwater, species only, 1 GSP (Tetraodon Nigroviridis)

At the same LFS store I bought Joe at I also bought another pufferfish but this time for my saltwater aquarium. This time I bought a GSP for thirty dollars and got it as a easter present. I wasn't intending to buy a puffer of anykind for my saltwater tank (infact I was planning on making it a reef tank) but I knew that like Joe this fish was a good bargin and one that I shoulc act apon. So yeah he has been living in the twenty four gallon tank since Easter and is doing quite well (he lives by himself)...

I named him Eric Cartman (yes based on the South Park character) because when I feed him food he become extremely fat. But I do have a slight delema he often swims up and down the tank glass which is a sign of bordom. However I have read that in many of my magazines (I have the bottom shelf of my book shelf dedicated to fish related topics) that it would be a very bad idea to put plastic plants in the tank with him. The reason being is that he would get the plastic stuck in his digestive system which could kill him. But I would prefer to use live plants but they are so exepensive that I can only buy a few of them, not enough to make a significant difference. Could somebody help me here and tell me what to do?

Anyway here are the pictures
