Other comments
As I said above, the fixture does what it was designed to do, provide light for the tank... Growing plants on the other hand is slightly tricky with this fixture especially if you upgraded to this from something like ahsupply light. (http://aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182561)
Im not saying this fixture is bad but with the whole hype out there stating that t5ho are the BEST for plants, it disappointing to see that rumor wilt away just like the foreground plants you were growing fine with your PC fixture.

And here are some photos of the product over the tank (compared to ahsupply)
1st photo is with the Nova extreme (without legs)

2nd photo is Nova extreme (with legs)

3rd photo is ahsupply (no legs)

The Nova gives is more natural and its spread through the tank more evenly. The ahsupply sure is bright but the look it gives isnt as natural as the nova bulbs. But with the tank being 23" tall, ahsupply did do better at growing foreground plants than the Nova light.

Bottom line is:
Do your research before you purchase a light.

Wow nice Bk. I have the same light, and it does well for me. It came with a pink bulb i used for a while, but i just replaced it, and haven't noticed a difference yet. I payed 115$ at LFS.
