All Male Malawi update and id help

Well my tank has really settled down since I removed the Afra. Thanks to all who helped out on the problem. I did get a chance to finally take some photos of some of my guys, so here they are. I also need an id on the first two photos and the last one - they are my new additions and were simply listed as a hap and peacocks.

I don't have a really good one, but here is the best I have gotten so far:

The first one is an otopharynx lithobates, one of the smaller haps.

Second is a peacock, though I'm not sure which as I'm guessing it's still a juvie and isn't fully colored, let it grow some more.

Not sure which fish in the third pic you're talking about, the acei?

I guess the order of the pics got screwed up or something, the very last pic of a peacock is a Ngara Flametail.

P.S. the first peacock could be another ngara, it has a slopy forehead like a stuartgranti and looks similar to how my juvie ngara looked.

ibr3ak - yeah, I got the order mixed up and had to amend the post. Thanks for the help on the id. As the fish color up more, I will post some more photos to confirm your assessment. I kinda figured you would be one of the folks to help me out with the id.

Thanks efors. I'm already starting to think about my next tank. An lfs not to far from me had a gorgeous placidochromis "star sapphire" that I almost bought but held off on. I didn't think it would fit in my current tank or the current mix and I did not want to upset the balance. However, for my next tank...

Yeah i am with you on that peacock looks like a faded Ngara i was just at my buddies house picking up some more Syno Multipunct's and he had a washed out Ngara male pretty common pet shop Ngara..

Is there a pill I can take for that? Actually, my wife and I were talking that as the kids get older and the basement becomes more den than playroom that she thinks it would be cool to have an entire wall of tanks. Let the planning begin.

Efors - I had the same jaw dropping reaction - like I said, let the planning begin. It'll just be at least a year before I can really move on the project. In the mean time, I will be searching for tanks, etc. that I can get deals on.

Pitt - I can't imaging you would tell a wee little lie to your child :laugh:. Yeah, I've thought of telling her something similar, but she has been involved from the very beginning, so I have chosen the battles to let her have this one for the time being. I am watching the paint, though, since the BN likes to hang out on it and keep it clean.
