My 'demekin' [i think] Poe....who has big eyes, has grown so much since ive gotten him, only thing is his eyes are growing different sizes. One is bigger than the other...kinda alot bigger.

He acts, looks fine in every other way. So I was wondering if it was normal sometimes for there eyes to grow different sizes? Hes weird anyways...haha

seriously no one knows...i know it sounds like a stupid question but, i dont know what that thing called pop eye looks like...and if one is quite a bit larger than the other...i dont know.

anyone?

Do you have photos? This does happen. I have one store where the demekins' eyes are not well proportioned. This may be down to genetics.

with pop eye the affected eye actually sticks out quite a bit further than the other

it looks the same, just bigger. I guess maybe i notice to much about the looks of the fish :D I love them soo much i dont want anything wrong with them. I think its what lupin said. Because there is no signs of disease.

Btw....since ive put them in the bigger tank [MUCH bigger tank] it seems, they have grown so much already...i hope i dont have problems sooner than expected...well i hope i dont have problems.

Whats min for 7 goldies?full grown... i was thinking 150 gallons...but if i have to manage 200 [do they make a size around that?] then i really need to know now...so i can plan for the future...

i might go with bigger. so if i see another goldie that i cant live without, it wouldnt leave me with a overstocked tank :)

Bea- this happened to the fish that is my avatar when she was a juvie. They were so uneven that I thought she had an eye tumor! As you can see from the picture, she has very proportionate eyes now. I wouldn't worry too much about Poe.

thanks somervell....it makes me feel alot better!!!!
