Hey Now,

I have now had my gourami's in my tank for two days...fed a pinch of flakes each day.

I used biospira when I put the fish in. My nitrates are between 5-10.

I kind of want to do a water change just to get fresh water in there. Is it too soon to do a water change?
thanks

take care,
Jared

Nah, it's never too soon to do a water change. In fact, whenever you feel the itch to do one, go ahead and do it, if it 'needs' it or not. Water changes are always a good thing.

hey slappy,

Just did a water change! changed two gallons. I think that is a good start. Its a 10 gallon tank.

Is it ok that doing the water change creates a disturbance? It seems everything gets in an uproar when I do a water change....may be because its only a 10 gallon. The water soaks up so fast, and with the big syphon in there it pushes the plants down and just plain old gets in the way of everything...haha. I do have onyx sand...and its real easy to get that stirred up as well. I wonder if it stresses out the fish.

take care,
Jared
