Does anyone ever do a little experimenting on different types of foods to feed their fish? I mean even beyond shrimp or live crickets... although my betta does like the little shrimp I give him once in a while.
Thus far, I've found my current cories, and my former aussie rainbows, like steamed rice. With the cories, I put in 3 or 4 grains and they head straight for it - the betta will take one as long as it's off the ground, but ignores them when on the bottom.
As for my crayfish, I think he'd eat paper if I gave him some. But his favorite as of late is little pieces of carrot.
