and some stuff for it, but I have no idea how to use it. I haven't fished since I was 6 at my grandparents pond, and you could hardly call what I did 'fishing'. More like rod holding.
Anyway, if you are walking around today, and hear a scream coming from the general direction of Pennsylvania, I've managed to jam a hook into my finger.
I just thought it would be nice to warn you.

good luck!

I had a TON of fun!!!!!! Why haven't I done this before?!?!?!? I caught pumpinseed and bluegill sunfish. I was gonna take pics, but I didn't realize that my camera battery was almost dead. I only got pics of what I caught in the minnow trap.

I caught my finger while unhooking a largemouth bass. The barb went through the skin. I didn't have any wire cutters so I had to find a construction worker near by and ask if he had any.
After that experience, for high school graduation my friend's father gave me a multi tool to cut the hook next time.
Hooks are sharp and fish are slippery when wet.

You did buy the fishing license to go with the pole , right? The Fish and Boat fine is not nice.

It's not a pole , it's a ROD :)
