Anubias ID / Question

i've recently come to appreciate the humble anubias, my steadfast a. barteri nana having burgeoned into a beautiful little clump while all the stem plants have come and gone.

So when I was in the local store and saw they had a 6 or 7 new varieties I picked some up without too many questions. They are labelled as A. Gracilis, A. Congensis, A. Heterophila & A. Longitifolia

Wikipedia (doubtful reference I know) lists A. Congensis as a synonym of A. Heterophylla - is this correct? I was hoping congensis would stay slightly smaller.

I can find nothing regarding Longitifolia. It does have long leaves, so I assume they just made up the name on it:


Any ideas as to what this could be? sorry for the horrible quality, I had to take the photo with my phone.

thanks, lanceolata looks about right. definitely not congensis.

longifolia is a pretty common species name, there's one in every genus. kind of the plant equivalent of Smith

Minima does look very similar, but the leaves have an odd but very appealing top-heavy shape that looks a bit more like the Lanceolata photos i'm finding.

I definitely plan on propagating these plants once they have a few more stems on them, I have already got four new plants established from my nana
