looks like hygrophila difformis, AKA wisteria, water sprite, etc
 
The leaf shape and spacing depends a lot on the lighting / nutrients etc. Offcuts from the same plant will grow very differently depending on where you put them in the tank.
 
If you look at the bottom leaves in the second photo, they have a kind of chunky look that you see on young / low light wisteria. As they grow upwards and the light increases the leaves start to get finer, until they end up as the kind of frothy mass you see in the first photo..
 
Actually the bottom leaves on the second photo show the progression from emersed leaves to submersed leaves. Hygrophila difformis is one plant that widely differs in appearance between above water growth and underwater growth.

I've had hygro grow in the 'emerged' form while completely submerged, usually when it has lower light, and i'm not the only one :)
