help brichardi beating the crap out of

i have about a 3 inch brichardi and i just put 2 1 inch synodontis multipunctatus in my 30 gal. and my brichardi's beating the crap out of them. what could i do to get him to cut down on the aggretion

give them places to hide. or wait to put them in the tank until they're larger. or re-arrange the tank decor, it might confuse it enuf to make it have to figure out a new territory.
