Finally, I got all the stuff needed to start the 20 long! I just am not too sure what to do first. My filter is in place along with my heater.... DO I put water in a bucket...add prime then add water? DO I start the ammonia when it's set up? Can I also set up the DIY co2 when its first set up? Can I use excel when using DIY co2?

Thanks and I hope to get pics as soon as the tank is set up

EDIT: I know my title makes no sense I was typing fast ;)

Finally, I got all the stuff needed to start the 20 long! WooHoo! I just am not too sure what to do first. My filter is in place along with my heater.... DO I put water in a bucket...add prime then add water? For the first fill, I would just add enough prime for the tank to the tank, and then fill it. DO I start the ammonia when it's set up? Yes. Can I also set up the DIY co2 when its first set up? Yes. Can I use excel when using DIY co2? Yes, but most people say it's a waste of money.

Thanks and I hope to get pics as soon as the tank is set up

w00000t!

Congrats.

Good job on posting this and asking for help before you start. Many people don't and end up regretting it.

since your going fishless anyway save your prime. until you get the tank cycled. once the tanks ready do a large water change with the prime and your set for fish

Make sure, if you choose this route, that you dose that pre fish water change with enough prime for the whole tank.
