I think you may be referring to performance enhancing drugs, of which some may be steroids.

Same thing happened to Manny, it wasnt anabolic steroids he was taking per say. It was a doctor prescribed prescription that had a banned substance that was NOT steroids.

Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. many who suffer asthma will are on steroids. inhaled corticosteroids.

but none the less steroids.
there are lots of athletes who may be on prescription steroids for medical reasons.

so there needs to be stipulations when generalizing 'steroids'

Where do you draw the line? Who's definition of drug do you use? Cafine definatly has enhancing effects. Should we boot out any player who drank coffee before a game? I agree it's wrong that these people break rules and laws, get away with it and get paid millions, but it comes down to.......well I can't discuss politics here ;)

give em the benefit of the doubt. then all should be tested & all those using it for personal health reasons can be certified as such by their docs. admit personal health use now so the public won't be so quick to judge. but let's have some validation process.

but come on, going from a size 13 to a size 22, neck size 30% bigger, etc. that must be some health problem to use steroids!

Most of the players you are talking about took steroids before they were banned so it wasn't illegal.
