Yep, it's me again with yet another question about my angels.

So I'm watching my two larger angels and they are both picking at a amazon sword leaf. Then they go swim around for a while. Chase another fish. swim. pick at the leaf. swim. etc. Is this behavior mean anything such as oh getting ready to lay a bunch of eggs, or am I just being paranoid? Do angels pick at plants for food or out of boredom? If they were cleaning the leaf for laying eggs, wouldn't they be more serious about it?

it depends but it is normal behavior if they are planning on spawning.

oh my...... :-O

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
short of removing one there isn't much you can do.
;)
my angels when they spawn pretty much keep to themselves unless there are other angels in the tank.

oooook. thanks!

I"m going to try and go a WHOLE day without asking a question about my fish, but be warned, I may explode! Jk.

well.... but wait a sec. if one was about to lay eggs, wouldn't she "look pregnant" with eggs?

bumpity bump bump

my angels randomly pick at the substrate and plants and driftwood, and they laid eggs once on the heater then ate them all.

so it could be preparing for eggs, or just random normal behavior
